If you're into collaborative map building you may be interested in our new versioning WFS-T support.
Basically, think this WFS as a version control system, you can access old versions of the map, rollback changes performed by a certain user, have a log of the changes occurred and a map showing you the boundaries affected by each change, view the diff of what occurred at a particular change (or set of changes).
Interested? If you are at FOSS4G 2007 Tim Schaub is going to make an interesting demo about versioning WFS with an OpenLayers front end.
Otherwise, pop up on our user mailing list or IRC channel and let's talk about this.
